From 16 to 22 February it will take part in the PWT Italy international training camp in Gargano and Foresta Umbra.

In line with the development project and the plant and map infrastructure created for WMOC 2022, the international promotion of the Gargano and Foresta Umbra continues.

The Italian national team has officially included this Training Camp in the official programme for the 2025 season. CT Stefano Raus will coordinate with technical manager and Training Camp coordinator Riccardo Scalet, of PWT Italy, to prepare the most functional exercises for the winter preparation, in view of the World Orienteering Championships to be held in July in Finland.

The training camp also includes three days of competitions, to test at high intensity the technical skills gathered during the week.

The programme includes both sprint training (in the city) and forest training (in the forest): the locations involved in the Training Camp will be, in addition to the Foresta Umbra, the towns of Vico del Gargano, Peschici and Vieste.

There are currently more than 100 athletes enrolled in the Training Camp, mainly from Switzerland and Scandinavian countries. Take the opportunity to get involved and challenge some of the world’s strongest athletes.
